I think moms deserve more 'recognition' than you could ever fit into one day , There must be a million reasons why I love my mom - even if she stopped speaking to me, like she always does - I put together 20 reasons Why I love/ appreciate my mother (yes, I love a good list).




1. She always 'likes' everything I post on Instagram and complains about how inactive my Facebook is.

2. She's my mother and father, I wonder how she pulls this off everytime.

3. She gave me my eye colour -I think mine are a bit lighter 
than hers, but thanks mom.

4. One million meals later, there's nothing better than her cooking.

5. She is so good at bargaining, it's like a super power -though I feel bad for the traders afterwards.

6. She invades my privacy -annoying but, I still love you mom.

7. She accepts and deals with my constant mood swings.

8. She saved my phone number as 'Tall girl' on her phone - I'm not mad I promise. But, who calls their child 'Tall Girl'?

9. I have her smile. I do realize I'm becoming a lot like her, I love it but, it scares me at the same time.

10. Through Runny noses, Cold and Fevers, she is the best nurse ever.


11. She's my Number 1 fan - I remember when I started this blog, she literally said 'I don't know what it is, but I support you'.

12. She always forgives me.

13. She always prays for me, I don't know where I'd be without her prayers.

14. She instilled in me the deep love for Coca-Cola.

15. She has a huge sense of humor.

16. She doesn't understand what exactly I enjoy in Sponge bob.

17. She put up with dad - I still don't understand how.

18. She ate my oddly pink cake from high school cooking class - the cake was hard too!

19. She never missed a Parents -Teacher Meeting. Like never!

20. She's my mother.

Sia hit the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on February 26th, and I can't get over how chic and elegant this look was.


Hello beauties.
So, Sia stole my heart in this beautiful Armani Privé PantSuit paired with Christian Louboutin Shoes and Nick Forquet hat -not forgetting her famous wig, that really brought this whole look together.


Was this look event appropriate?

Yes. This was a party, I was disappointed when I saw ball gowns on the carpet. I loved the fact that Sia brings such elegance to the red carpet every time.

The colour was just right, it complemented her skin tone, She kept it mute with the accessories and classy with the shoes.


This look is also appropriate for an elegant night out or a business dinner - without the hat of course. I put together a fashion set, that is a bit muted than the Peach Colours Sia had on.
With that ensemble you'd definitely be a stunner without being revealing or raunchy.

Just yesterday I turned 20, literally! I genuinely expected to feel, I don't know, somewhat different. I mean nineteen to twenty was a huge leap!


Hello Lovelies,


Well, being 20 hasn't been exactly rosy, hello acne!, but I'm really excited, I turn 21 in exactly 10 days (April 3rd - that's a hint by the way!) I'm getting older!, however I've reflected on most of my experiences this past year and have formed some remarkable conclusions.

Here are 20 things I learnt at 20:

1. It's Okay To Be Addicted To Your Phone
I mean, I've always being the most withdrawn, and thanks to some friends that made me feel like such a douche for punching my phone screen, every time, even at social gatherings. I'm sorry not sorry

2. Never Ever Be Ashamed Of Spongebob
Yes, I'm 20, and I binge watch Spongebob. Thanks nickelodeon!

3. It's Really Okay To Be Single
This I'm yet to accept, wholeheartedly, but I know a girl needs time off to love herself.

4. Exfoliation Works Wonders
I cannot stress this enough, guys!!!

5. You don't have to have it all figured out
I probably never will, but I'm working towards it, I guess

6. It's Okay to say no
I finally learnt to say no, going out of my way for 'friends' was one of my biggest problems

7. Not Everybody Will Like You
You can be the most amazing person in the planet but there be somebody, somewhere who doesn't like you.

8. Get Away From Negative Energy.
Because that WILL suck the life out of you before you know it.

9. Choose Love Over Grudges.
I mean, If I could go back, I'd definitely repair my not-so-good relationship with my dad, Two head strong individuals who think they're in charge, aren't really.

10. Do not Save What doesn't deserve to be saved.
I learnt the Older you get, friendships become the hardest to maintain asides breakouts. Just let go.


11. It's okay to love the puppy snapchat filter.
Well, that's self-explanatory.

12. Take the time to know who you really are.
My journey to self discovery has been beautiful. I was surprised to discover I loved being alone, I might have a little extroverted tendencies but I do value my alone time.

13. You will always always love your first love.
Doesn't mean you want to get back with them, but it's always there, no matter the dust it collects over time, that feeling is still there.

14. You cannot force love or friendships
Walking away is the best decision you'll ever make. Let them go and it'll be okay.

15. It's Okay to have Big feet
This was one of my major insecurities, I think I was 16/17 when I was searching for ways to reduce your shoe size. It might be sad missing out on beautiful shoes cos you're like a size 12 female, but in the long run, it's really okay.

16. Pain, Failure and heartbreaks are the best teachers.
I think I've learnt so much from life's pain and struggles, it genuinely makes you so much stronger. Don't suppress the pain or grief, let them teach you.

 A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor

17. Let go of expectations.
Expectations in life, relationships, friendships, in yourself. Let go.

18. I Am Beautiful
I can't even begin to tell the story on how self conscious I was, I totally was comparing myself to everyone- if only my skin was lighter or I had thinner thighs. Boy, it wasn't healthy. I finally learnt to accept I am beautiful in my own way.

19. It's okay to be emotional
it's really okay to cry to that song or to that YouTube proposal video. I've learnt to accept that part of me.

20. Travel As Much As You Can
This I never do, and I sincerely hope it changes, this new year.


Those were 20 things I learnt at 20, I learnt quite a lot, no doubt, and I'm so thrilled to be 21. I've waited so long for this. From the times I made my age up because people thought I was too 'mature' for my age.

Here's to 21 and a hundred more years!

1. Stripes
Multicoloured stripes prevailed on the runways especially at the New York Fashion Week.



2. 80's Punk
The metallic robes, thigh high socks and platforms are back ladies and gentlemen! I honestly think Marc Jacobs killed this trend, no doubt.

3. Ruffles
Ruffles Ruffles Ruffles
This trend doesn't fade as it seems to be in vogue. Oscar De La Renta had me drooling at the Ruffles in form of tiered skirts.

4. The 'Wallflower'
I don't think anyone can think of spring fashion without having Florals on their minds.

5. The Off-shoulder
The number one thriving  trend has got to be the off-shoulder trend. One-shoulder, off-shoulder, cut-outs, no matter the variations, you got to  show off them shoulders honey!

6. Sheer/Mesh
I mean, who doesn't like a little peekaboo in their lives and closets? I know I do.


Well, even if I didn't catch any of the runway shows, I've been watching really closely (thanks pinterest) and I can say a lot of trends aren't going anywhere.

 A well placed highlight makes all the difference, a little luminizing swipe over your cheekbones, cupid's bow, corners of your eyes or wherever provides that instant boost.

3. Brow Defining Gel:
Brows have a very expressive feature and a well defined brow can have a big difference on your overall look.

4. Mascara:
This has got to be my favorite. I surely have to tell you a difference a few swipes can make. To get the most out of your lashes, go for a really good one, girl.

5. Concealer:
If you're not on the band wagon, it's time to get on board! No other products covers under-eye dark circles or highlights your face quite like this.

6.  Touch-Up Powder:
To refresh your look during those long days, you can't go wrong with a powder to maintain your flawless look.

7. Beauty Blender/Sponge:
Either you're trying to achieve perfect level of coverage. The beauty blender is very versatile can be used to create an air-brushed effect with your foundation, concealer or powder.

8. Eyeshadow:
The eyes deserve some colour, either a smokey look, nude or shimmery highlights to the inner corners, An Eyeshadow pallete is extremely essential.

9. Red Lipstick:
I mean, lipsticks are important, but the red Lipstick is very versatile. Day, Night or in between you can never go wrong.

10. Primer:
Primer is an absolute MUST HAVE! They provide a smooth canvas for make-up to last all day also retaining the skin moisture. If you have an Oily skin like I do (actually it's just my face that's oily), this is important. It also provides a  smooth surface for foundation to glide on the skin instead of sinking into your pores.

Is it me or am I genuinely excited for spring (We don't have spring in Nigeria by the way!) but with all these new beauty and fashion trends this season, I can't  wait!
Don't forget Mother's day is around the corner, I'm putting a little list of gift ideas (under a budget of course), Even if all they did was tell us to get along with our siblings, our entire lives, they are simply awesome!

I'd be sharing my favorite looks from this trend and some style tips you should know to pull the frayed hem jeans trend effortlessly.

1. A frayed hem is  the only amount of craziness your jeans needs. Don't overdo it, girl!




2. For the ultimate polished,formal look, pair with stilettos or lace up heels. Don't forget the blazer.
