August was a bit eventful for me, I got to attend my first ever Street feast, Village Carnival by BarBar Lagos (the blog is up on my YouTube channel) and a fashion show that was a flop, to me. If you caught me on Instagram live, I was at this Street Feast by About Last Night and Jack Daniels.

Where : Maison Fahrenheit Hotel.

What We Had:

The drinks and water were complimentary, Thank you Jack Daniels and About Last Night.

My friend, Tayo ordered Bole (roasted plantains) Canoe with Creamy Shrimp Sauce. I really didn't like this when I tasted it (for someone that LOVES plantain that's surprising). He loved it regardless.

I ordered Jack Daniels Turkey Wings. I loved this and how 'juicy' it was. I'm still sad I didn't try the  Puff-Puff Corn Dogs, I adore Puff-puff so much hehe!

The Damage:

Bole Canoe With Creamy Shrimp Sauce - 1,000 naira.

Jack Daniels Turkey Wings - 1,000 naira.

The Verdict: 

Ambience: I loved the pink bamboo wall, i can't wait to recreate this wall soon.

What I didn't appreciate was how boring it was. The organizer said She was going for a 'chilled' vibe, I felt it was a bit slow.

Food: The food was amazing!!!! I loved the fact that we got complimentary Jollof Rice (Nigerian Jollof* Lol!).

I honestly can't wait for the next one. Hopefully with more food vendors and a bubbling vibe.

Hello everyone and my glazed lovers,

happy monday!

so yesterday, i got invited to the Maissa Beauty Spa launch and trust me to 'rush' to a spa that promotes the northern culture (I got it from my mom!)

I got to the venue at 4pm (i was two hours fashionably late) walked in to a very calm and relaxing ambience! Met a lot of  blogger sisters, did i mention it was relaxing? I needed that level of serenity in preparation for the busy work week.

Of course, trust the northerners and their hospitality, there was a lot to eat and drink from Kilishi (Nigerian beef jerky), Masa (Rice cake),  Alkaki (Northern Pretzels) to my favorite drink of all time Zobo (Hibiscus Drink), We were well taken care of. 

Proceeding up the stairs lined with incense and a miniature waterfall, it leads to the spa where all the pampering takes place. 

You're welcomed with a display of their products for sale from Scented Candles, Incenses to Black Soap and Perfumes, all of which are affordable.

The Mai saa Traditional Spa is definitely a place to be not only to be pampered but to become part of the family. It's a genuine and relaxing experience.

So, after the no-movement thing in Lagos last Saturday (due to the elections), i and my best friend decided to have a day out the next day, doing what we always do, eat!

Pizze-riah came to mind, let's just say they boast of the best pizza in Lagos.

Pizze-riah is an Italian pizza place...

We ordered Half of The Alla Riccardo and Half Suya Pizza 'cos its hard to choose just one.

for drinks, I had a bottle of coca cola and water.

Our Order took several minutes to be taken, and when it eventually came, we had to beg for basic things like paper towels and ice...

The Suya pizza was bomb, the Alla Riccardo was amazing as well, it was my very first time having cheese ( It didn't disappoint).

Mid-meal, Bestie suggested their Chicken Suya and Fries, which we ordered and got to us when we were almost done with the pizza- it was worth the wait, trust me!

The chicken suya was 1000% and extremely affordable

THE DAMAGE:

After all the 'festivities' our bill came, The bill was 6,100 Naira for everything!
