Hi lovelies!

So, I'm back from my little 'break'

( read all about it here).

First and foremost, I've come to understand my skin type and how extremely prone I am to breakouts, so, I try to keep everything 'clean' and as simple as I can.

I'm no makeup guru I do have products I absolutely love, but, I'm not a girl with an overflowing makeup drawer ( sometimes I wish I had one).

MY EVERY-DAY MAKEUP ESSENTIALS

1. Milani 'Runway Lashes' Volume Mascara

Drugstore for the win! I absolutely love this mascara and how it enhances every single lash I have! Plus, it's super lightweight too.

2. LA Girl Pro Concealer

There's a reason why make-up gurus and first-timers, regardless of your skin type, love this Concealer. I use this to highlight my face and 'clean' out my brows. Totally a must-have.

3. Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeliner

I recently swore on how much I love this liner (read about it here). It lasts 24 hours and the precision tip is everything.

4. Maybelline Colossal Kajal Eyeliner

Sometimes, a girl loves her 'dark eyes'. I'm not the best when it comes to under eye liners and this helps with it. It's fantastic and lasts all day.

5. MILANI mineral compact powder

Talk about a smooth lightweight matte powder. For someone with an extremely oily T-zone, this is an

absolute must have, it doesn't cake and it's perfect for everyday use. Did I mention how super affordable this is?

6. MAC 'Light Festival' x9 Eyeshadow Palette

Regardless of how unflattering this is for dark skin, but when applied wet it works as well. A hue of this palette doubles as my bronzer/highlight.

7. Milani Amore Matte Lipstick

As much as i adore my ruby woo, there are certain times i just want to go nude, literally. This lipstick is all shades of amazing,

Hi lovelies.
Happy holidays!
So, this post is in response to my 10+ unanswered emails (I love you guys!)

So, after my last post went live (if you haven't read it, please do - Here), I was admitted in the hospital in preparation for my Thyroidectomy. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism ( and boy was it toxic) in 2011 and I've been on meds since then - to 'lower' the level of hormones my thyroid gland was secreting.

I had all the symptoms you could ever think of, Heart Palpitations, tremors, insomnia...

Rewind...

April 11th

The Doctor checked my results from my 100th thyroid function test -literally! He thought the levels were good enough to proceed with the surgery...

April 12th

Happy birthday, Daddy!

I had my Thyroidectomy (I think it's pretty remarkable that I had the surgery on the day my dad was supposed to turn 55).

It actually went well, which is absolutely not surprising because, God's Got me.

There were no complications, I came out of anaesthesia very well (though my mother has recordings of my ramblings lol). I ended up having a sub-total Thyroidectomy (which means I may or may not have to be on medications for life).

Fast Forward..

April 17th

I'm still on admission, getting better with no pains whatsoever, super relived that they took my IVs out, and my stitches come out on Wednesday (Yipee!!). hopefully, I'm home (on my bed) on Thursday, God's willing!

How has your weekend been? Plus I heard Diplo is/was in Lagos, who made it to Gidi Fest? - I might need a breakdown on how it went...

Thank you so much for the love, it's surreal!

Hope your day is as amazing as you are!

I think we all have those moments when we eye items from online stores and we just add to the basket, close the window and continue some other time, because we just can't afford them yet.

Well, I do. When A reader (Hi Remi!) asked me the other day, what my most wanted spring fashion items were, I simply made a list here (if you haven't read it, please do). Then I realised I had so many items in carts, across various online stores!!

Hi lovelies!

These are some of the items in my current 'save-for-later-whenever-i'm-ready-to-treat-myself' list.

Oh and BTW, I'm Reading this, it was gifted to me on my birthday, thanks mom!

In the cart:

1. Silk flared pants From Missguided

I'm obsessed with Missguided. So, when I saw this silk flared pants I absolutely fell in love. Did I mention I loved Flared pants? I can totally see myself in this with a lace body suit, having my well deserved birthday soiree.

2. Double belt cross strap sandals From Zaful

I'm totally planning a huge Zaful haul soon, and when I do this sandals will be my first purchase, because I absolutely love their pieces. The fantastic thing about them is they ship to Nigeria and they are very affordable.

3. Boyfriend's Jeans From Levi's

I cannot express how disappointed I was when I discovered that Mr Price Nigeria only stocked ripped boyfriend/mom jeans, they weren't even ripped in those cute little way -it was like someone angrily ran a laser through them.

Okay, Levi's are like the absolute go-to for everything denim, and I love this particular one.

4. Celine Phantom Tote

Talk about Lovely Leathery Luxury.

I love me some Céline. I might not be able to afford them anytime soon, but it'll keep sitting cute in my cart - alongside the 6 others.

5. Fenty x Puma Bow Sneakers By Rihanna

Oh the cuteness!!!

I love these babies, I love everything in the Fenty Collection. I mean, how cute does it get?

That's it for some of the items I'm completely lusting over but are currently taking the 'chill pill' in their various carts.

What are your most wanted fashion items? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading!

Love always,

The Janitor-Inspired Trend You Should Try This Spring.

Don't worry, the bucket and mop isn't included.

Hi loves!

Happy Monday! Why do i feel like the weekend lasted only 5 minutes?

For Lovers of everything Jumpsuit and career inspired fashion, like me, the utility fashion trend is not new at all.

This is used for creating a statement in the most practical, masculine and maybe the most cumbersome piece of clothing.

On the SS17 runway, Designers like Kenzo and burberry gave us inspired versions from various shades of khaki making this trend appear very tricky to pull off, which is far from the truth.

This look is very flattering on every body type and can easily transform from day to night when paired with the right accessories (or colours).

Many of this season's designs are very versatile, its not just the good ol' khaki anymore, there are denim, colours, silk versions and button downs, giving you an option of having these buttons done up for the ultimate workman chic look or popping a few open for that sultry night look.
Whatever your style is, there's some janitor vibe for everyone!

For a snazzy daytime look, pair your suit with your go to pumps and a tote or a backpack and sneakers (cool kids yo!) - don't forget your military-inspired aviators.

And for the night time, Switch it up with some strappy or statement heels or a silk scarf to balance out the extra cleavage (that might be poppin' out). Also a great way to add some colour to the mix.
